Housing corporations

Housing corporations and care institutions manage a relatively large number of high-rise buildings and old people’s homes housing less able residents.
Consequently, many residents are dependent on lifts.

A temporary Reco passenger lift is installed in situations where an existing passenger lift cannot be used due to alterations or refurbishment.
This avoids less able residents having their freedom of movement restricted. Reco passenger lifts are also a safer alternative to stairs for older people.
The fact that the lift can accommodate a stretcher means that a person can be transported to hospital more quickly in the event of an emergency.

There is a growing trend for housing corporations to include the costs of installing a temporary passenger lift in advance in the maintenance budget.
This avoids a situation where, if a temporary passenger lift is required, there are insufficient funds to cover the costs involved.
